Sweatfitt Apparel was established in early 2016, with Fahmi Rahman, a motivated university student at UTHM, leading the way. Starting as a dropshipping agent, Fahmi focused exclusively on selling top-quality sweatpants. Originally named Sweatpan, the brand underwent a transformation in 2017, reemerging as Sweatfitt with a renewed and vibrant identity.

It all began as a dropshipping venture, growing into an agency, and eventually evolving into a supplier with nearly 100 dropshipping agents at that time. As we worked hard to develop and expand our range of sweatpants, we faced a significant challenge when we experienced losses of around RM20k-RM30k due to pre-ordered stock that didn't meet our expectations.

We had to refund the customers who had placed early orders, which led to a tough financial crisis.

The most critical moment came during Ramadan 2017, just three weeks before Eid, when we needed to pay our staff salaries but had insufficient funds in our company account. Meanwhile, Fahmi Rahman, who was still a university student at the time, was also preparing for final exams while grappling with finding a solution to this predicament.


That's when the idea of introducing polo tees emerged. Thankfully, we resolved the problem and managed to pay salaries and settle debts with suppliers before the approaching festive season. From that point onward, we consistently offered Polo tees as our signature product.

 The journey was incredibly tough and filled with hardships. Our limited knowledge of the garment industry resulted in numerous losses and mistakes. We faced challenges with clothing quality, production, costs, and more. There were times when we couldn't deliver ordered clothes due to our own embarrassment about the quality.

Nonetheless, we saw every loss and failure as an opportunity to learn and improve. We gradually enhanced our product quality until our customers praised the Sweatfitt Polo Tees for their design and exceptional quality. We focused on improving cuts, incorporating features that matched customer preferences. We strongly believed that wearing comfortable, well-crafted, and stylish clothing could boost confidence and enrich lives.


Despite our challenges, we continued with the pre-order system. By taking pre-orders, we ensured high-quality materials for our products (which incurred higher costs). Following the pre-order model, customers patiently awaited their durable Polo Tees, resistant to shrinkage and retaining their quality even after multiple washes.

With over 20,000 satisfied customers and thousands of garments sold, we aim to expand our brand as a respected local name, on par with other major brands. We made the decision to rebrand as Leon, aiming for a stronger brand identity and international recognition.

Though it hasn't been easy, we firmly believe that Leon will achieve great success. Despite initial doubts from others, we have proven that we can reach this level and strive for even greater accomplishments.
